Zune v2 officially launches +
The next iteration of Microsoft’s portable media player, called the Zune, officially arrives at retail stores today. Not only that, but along with the next generation Zune, users of the first generation Zune get all the software and firmware upgrades of the new Zune player.
The new Zune players come in 4GB, 8GB and 80GB flavors along with numerous color options. You can also obtain a personalized Zune from Zune Originals, which includes custom text and etching on the back of the Zune’s case.
Along with the old becoming (partially) one with the new, Zune now also includes wireless syncing of your media library (that’s right, you no longer need a cable, assuming you have a wireless network) along with Zune Social, an unprecedented social networking site that connects and includes everyone using the Zune software to listen to and manage their music.
