Free Music Monday #6 +
Are you ready for some more gratis music, courtesy of your friendly neighborhood zunenuze? I hope so because today is our 6th edition of Free Music Monday and I think we have quite a special treat.
Today we’re featuring a band called Kinematic. They have a very original sound and hail from the land down undah (Australia, that is). Hitting up this page over at music.download.com will reveal several free tracks. Let me just say that I’m in love with all of them so you owe it to yourself to download them and get them on your Zune for your Monday commute.
Last but not least, you might be interested in MTV’s Virtual Worlds’ new Virtual Battle of the Bands and the Virtual Music Video Contest. Fans can sign up for a free avatar, promote and vote for their favorite band in MTV’s Virtual Worlds. Competing Battle of the Bands include The Hot Toddies, Sick of Sarah, Carmen and Camille, Lovers Electric, Valora and Waiting 4 Wyatt. Fans can enter the music video contest by creating their own music video in the virtual world and upload it to MetaCafe.com, using audio mashups from artists such as Saves The Day, Dannel Vonn Dillon, Dr. Manhattan, A Cursive Memory and Grayskul. The grand prize winner will receive a Sony Vegas Pro 8 video and audio editing software. Plus, the winning video’s will be displayed at mtv.com and in MTV’s Virtual Worlds.
